By accessing our Site, submitting an enquiry, or agreeing to our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. 2. Our Services

Solara Energy UK is a provider and installer of renewable energy solutions, including but not limited to:

  • Solar Panel Installation
  • Battery Storage Systems
  • Electric Vehicle (EV) Chargers
  • Associated maintenance and support services.

All installations are subject to a prior survey of your property to assess feasibility. We provide an obligation-free quotation, and any work undertaken will be based on a separate, detailed Installation Agreement which will supersede these general terms.


3. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, videos, and software, is the property of Solara Energy UK or its content suppliers and is protected by United Kingdom and international copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without our express written permission.


4. User Accounts and Enquiries

When you submit an enquiry or create an account on our Site, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for safeguarding any password and for all activities that occur under your account.


5. Purchases and Payment

  • Quotations: All quotations provided are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated.
  • Payment Schedule: A specific payment schedule will be detailed in your Installation Agreement. Typically, this may include a deposit to secure your installation date, a progress payment, and a final payment upon satisfactory completion of the work.
  • Payment Methods: We accept payment via bank transfer or other methods as specified in your agreement.


6. Installation and Warranty

  • Workmanship Warranty: We provide a [e.g., 10-year] workmanship warranty on our installations, as detailed on the Site. Specific warranty terms will be explicitly stated in your Installation Agreement.
  • Product Warranty: Manufacturer warranties for panels, batteries, and other equipment are provided by the respective manufacturers. We will facilitate warranty claims in accordance with the manufacturer's terms.
  • Installation Process: You agree to provide safe and unobstructed access to your property for our engineers on the scheduled installation date. Delays caused by lack of access or unprepared sites may incur rescheduling fees.


7. Cancellation and Cooling-Off Period

If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel your installation contract within 14 days of signing the agreement without giving any reason (the "Cooling-Off Period"). Your Installation Agreement will contain specific instructions on how to exercise this right.

If you request that we begin work within the 14-day Cooling-Off Period, you acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel once the service has been fully performed.


8. Limitation of Liability

Solara Energy UK shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Site or our services. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the use of the Site or services shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the six months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms shall limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable UK law.


9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions and any separate agreements whereby we provide you services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Given the large number of customers we serve, we utilize automated systems to: connect you with an engineer, for instance, based on their availability and location; and interact with you through our chat service.

A member of our team will then review the situation.


4. How long do we keep your personal data?


We must retain the personal information you provide during the shopping process in case you choose to make a purchase, as it will be necessary for delivering and installing your selected product or for executing your chosen service(s). When you initiate the checkout process, we also securely store your information in our database for a duration of 3 months in case you begin a finance application and return later to finalize your purchase. After 3 months, if you decide not to proceed with your purchase, we will automatically delete this information.


If you buy one of our products or services, we may request photos of your property. Our engineers utilize these images to assess your order and ensure that the product and/or service you’ve purchased is suitable for your property. We need to keep these photos so that we can forward them to the engineer responsible for installing, maintaining, or repairing the product. We will securely retain these photos and all related installation information for 10 years following your installation date.


We will hold onto your other personal data for as long as we are engaging with you through our website, our App, and/or under our agreement for the sale of our products or services to you; for as long as necessary to maintain communication with you, where you have requested us to do so (for instance, if you subscribe to our mailing lists); and for as long as allowed or required for legal and regulatory reasons after our last interaction with you.


Subject to any additional notices we may provide, we may keep your personal data for a period of 10 years after your last interaction with us. However, certain information may be retained for a longer duration, for example, to defend against legal claims or for other specific regulatory compliance purposes.
